Annual General Meeting (AGM)

The Russell Manitoba Ag Society Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled on January 14, 2026. Doors open at 05:30 pm. Supper is at 06:00 pm. AGM begins at 07:00 pm. Only members in good standing can vote. RSVP Nikki as listed in image below.

$10 membership fee is due.
Dinner fee: Adults $15, Children 5-10 years $7.50
Under 5 years – free

By-Law Changes to be voted on at Annual General Meeting

6.06   Voting

1. Unless otherwise specified in the Corporations Act, questions arising at a meeting of the Board shall be decided by a majority of votes.  In the case of an equality of votes, the President of the meeting, who shall ordinarily have no vote, shall cast the deciding vote.  All votes shall be taken by a show of hands, unless a request for a ballot, at any time.
2. Notwithstanding clause (a), the Board may establish specific items for which more than majority of votes is required for assent.
3. There shall be no voting by proxy.
4. d. Voting by Electronic devices is allowed as long as the motion is presented and seconded prior to the vote. A Thumbs up vote is considered a positive response to a motion.

6.07   Telephone or electronic Participation

A Director may, if all the Directors present at the meeting consent, participate in a Board meeting or a meeting of a committee of the board by means of such telephone or other communication facilities as permit all persons participating in the meeting to hear or read each others views, and a Director participating in the meeting by that means is deemed to be present at the meeting.
